Job Title: Associate Fluid Power Designer

Job Summary:

Seeking a hands-on, curious, and driven engineering student to join our team as a Fluid Power Design Engineering Associate. This opportunity is designed to grow into a full-time engineering position. You’ll gain real-world experience in fluid power systems, manufacturing processes, and product design.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside experienced manufacturing team members, engineers, and technicians to support the design, testing, and implementation of fluid power systems.

  • Participate in hands-on manufacturing activities to understand how designs translate into production.

  • Assist with CAD modeling, prototyping, and documentation of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality, and R&D.

  • Learn and apply industry standards and best practices in fluid power design.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives on the shop floor.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Currently pursuing an associate’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field and open to a bachelor’s degree.

  • Strong interest in fluid power, hydraulics, pneumatics, fluid circuit design and mechanical systems.

  • Willingness to work hands-on in a manufacturing environment.

  • Basic knowledge of CAD software. Experience with AutoCad and DraftSight, and Eplan a plus.

  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Work Environment:

Reporting Structure:

This position is in the Controls Engineering Department and reports directly to the Controls Engineering Manager. This candidate may take day-to-day directions from a Fluids Engineer.
