Job Title: General Laborer/Shop Floor Worker

Job Summary:

The General Laborer/Shop Floor Worker is responsible for supporting daily production and shop operations by performing a variety of manual labor tasks. This role requires a motivated and dependable individual who helps maintain an organized, safe, and efficient work environment while assisting machine operators, production staff, and supervisors as needed. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform physical labor tasks including carrying, lifting, and moving materials

  • Assist with general shop floor tasks, including material handling, loading and unloading 

  • Support production processes by preparing materials and work areas  

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop floor and workstations 

  • Assist machine operators and other team members as needed  

  • Follow all safety guidelines, company policies, and procedures 

  • Complete other duties as assigned to support operations  

Qualifications and Skills:

  • High school diploma or GED 

  • Previous manufacturing or shop floor experience is a plus, but not required 

  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team 

  • Strong attention to detail and safety awareness 

  • Basic math and measurement skills 

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods of time 

  • Ability to lift and move up to 50lbs 

  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with noise, dust, and varying temperatures 

Work Environment:

  • Manufacturing or shop floor setting 

  • Exposure to machinery, tools, and moving equipment 

  • Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) 

  • Full-time position, 40 hours per week 

  • On-site in our Livonia, MI (48150) facility

Reporting Structure:

  • Reports directly to the Shop Supervisor or Production Supervisor 

  • Works closely with machine operators, production leads, and other shop floor team members  

  • Receives daily work assignments and guidance from supervisory or management staff
